Track link tool

Coming from Mirror Models a very cool track link tool. I'll have to get one I think.

http://www.mirror-models.com/1.html

From the site:
Track links jig is a handy tool to help you with assembly of any single track links, workable or non workable, resin or plastic ones. The tool takes all tracks available, its sliding part allows to hold links 6-24mm wide, while a holding stick provided helps to position and hold line of links as required for glue application. You can control easily gaps between links, and length of the track sections according to that. With this tool you will get perfectly straight tracks with all links at the same level.

The tool parts - base, sliding side and holding stick - are made of aluminium, with steel wing head screws or thumb screws for easy manipulation.

Not bad at all....

I went a cheaper route-- took thick sheet styrene and glued two perpendicular lengths of square rod styrene to it-- it can accommodate pretty much any length of track I have tried to put together....

It looks a lot like the Track EZ jig from 5 Star Tools (sold about ten years ago by VLS):

I still have mine!

Speaking of VLS, look at this article about rural Missouri:
