Today saw the opening of the first phase, "The Channel Battles" or "Kanalkampf", of the Battle of Britain (10 Jul - 31 Oct 1940) with raids on a convoy and channel ports in South Wales.

Spitfires, Hurricanes and EF Typhoons conducted a 75[sup]th[/sup] anniversary flypast over Buckingham Palace today.
