That's right, the Duke is building a larger scale civilian vehicle. Hey, if iyt is somehting unique and I like it; I'lll build it.
I had started this some time ago, but put it aside after I'd shot paint over it. This week, I pulled out my 1/32 scale model of my Airfix Dennis Fire Truck. First thing I did was to clean up the ladders of all the seam lines. Here's a 'before' shot:
See the difference? The 'clean' one is on front:
Next I assembled the ladder lifting gear for the back of the truck. I got it all assembled and then dry-fit it to the back of the truck. Here it is next to all three 'clean' ladders:
Next up is some painting on that as well as adding the rope so that the ladders are able to extend and contract. I do hope it works!
That's all I have for now. I do have several other automobiles in progress, as well as a fishing boat. I shall post them here soon too. Meanwhile, thanks for looking in, comments are welcome.
