The Duke's Armor Count is up to 587 now...

That's right. With these final three armor models I have brought my collection of small scale armor models up to 587 pieces. Wow, 13 more and I'll have 600 finished!

Anyway, on to these last ones for 2011. Two of them are Jeeps from Dragon. One is sporting a .50 caliber machine gun and the other has two bazookas. Here they are:

In addition to these two, I also managed to complete another SA-2 Guideline SAM launcher. Four more and I'll have a full battery:

And there they are, my last armor models from 2011. I also finished one aircraft that is shown in the Aircraft Forums as well. Feel free to check it out.

Meanwhile, Happy New Year and thanks for looking in!

Those are some dandy looking armor pieces ya got there Duke. Wonderful job on them. All ya need to do is a little weatheringon the Jeeps. Great job.

Nice Jeep and SAM. Is that SAM from Gran? If so, I got one too and it was built some time ago.
Nearly 600 built kits? That's a lot! Last year I got only 498 land models virtually all scales, from 1:144, 1:72, 1:35, 1:16, 1:10, 1:6 and even 1:1, as detailed in this page. You might want to know what 1:72 kits I've got:

Thanks Dave! Yeah, I tried to weather the jeeps with weathering powders but they didn't work. Once I get to the hobby shop to pick up more browns and tans, I'll try again with the airbrush.

Thanks Model Maniac. My SAM is actually from a different company; I can't remember right off hand. I did build a GRAN one earlier. I need to pick up four more so I can have a full battery. That is, once I can get a FAN SONG radar or something similar....

That is quite the haul you managed to acquire in 2011. I'd say I have about a third of your 1/72 scale aircraft in my collection as well. Don't know how many of your 1/72 scale armor I have since none of mine are finished models, only kits I've built. I do love to see a good list like that. Thanks for posting it.

Thanks everyone for the great posts, comments are still welcome.
