I received a facebook message from Susan this afternoon and she has decided to auction off all the dioramas that Bob had built and collected over the years. There are the dios that Bob had built as well as several by Louis Pruneau that were in his collection. There are also other collectibles and items as well as "Logistics".

Here is the link: Bob's collection auction

It is in the same place as the big auction that was a year or so ago. There are a number of items that might be affordable to many of us, so letting you all know.

I might even be able to go there and pick up items as I will be on the road and might be able to make that long detour to do pickups.

I am tempted to buy my own dio back from the 1993 Mastercon comp but I have no way of getting it home without it being destroyed in postage, so that idea came to a quick end. :blink :smack:

I get it Ian, back in 82 I was working at a small electronics company. We made satellite receivers and the owner was a really great guy. As they knew I was a model builder his step daughter wanted to get him a small model of a satellite dish for Christmas. I offered to build her one as no one had any ideas on where to get one. He had it on his desk all the rest of his life. After he passed away, it went through the hands of another co-worker and came back to me. It was all scratch built out of brass, and as I said, he had it on his office desk for years after that.

Now it sets on my desk, and every time I look at it I think of my old friend and boss, Ed.
