Wow! Those are awesome! I have a German 10Pfenning coin from 1942 as well. I also have some old bills from the Japanese occupation of the Philippines as well. I may have some other WWII coins, I'd have to check to be sure. Please extend my commendations to your son.

I have some Canadian coins from '39 and '40 and 5 German coins from just before and during the war. Of course I have a number of US coins.
 
Very cool coins. You're getting a really nice collection. When I was in Germany we were walking along the dirt track by the Spargel feild and I saw a shiny. When I picked it up and cleaned off the dust and dirt found it was a Reichmark from 42 if I remember correctly. Will have to check. Keep on collecting.
