RP Models have released their first kit, 100mm bust of Gunnery Sergeant John Basilone. This is the first in a series of Medal of Honor winners. It's on E-bay for $70 US.

Also coming is a 1/10 bust of Lt.Col. Hal Moore, 1st Battalion, 7th Cavalry, Ia Drang 1965.

It was also mentioned in another thread that a 1/35 Pegasus Bridge was coming. This is the company working on it and have some early test shots. I've seen it on pre-order for $1,850 US.

They are also offering a 1/35 St Mere-Eglise Church for $560 US.

John Basilone, wasn't he the one who held off the Japanese with just two other men, came home for War Bonds tour and then volunteered to go back into combat, only to be killed on the first day of the Iwo Jima attack? He was a Mans' Man right there. He had already done his share, no one could question that. He came home and could have had steak and 'taters for the rest of his life but he made the Marines send him back into action and on to the ultimate sacrifice.
 
Yes he was. He was one of the storylines in the Pacific mini-series. There is also a family authorized biography about his life, "I'm Staying With My Boys".

It was good...but not buy the DVD set good...to save some cashola, check your local library. Ours has it and it's free to borrow ;)
