My wife had an aunt who was in her 90s when we started dating some 20 years ago. She told me she can remember when her father loaded up all the family on the "buckboard" and went into town. She said when they rounded the mountain and could see the town of Seneca SC. that there were fireworks going off and celebrations. She asked what was going on, He told her it was the end of the war that ends all wars. There would be no more wars...we all wish it could have been true.

And I went on to retire from the navy.
To all of those brothers and sisters in arms who served their country to combat tyranny, secure freedom and protect their nation you have my utmost respect. All gave some, some gave all.
