On the bench !
Maquette T-34 obr 1941. Well what can I say? Weird plastic clunky details.... So here is the donkey work.
1. The upper hull is a T-34/85... That means backdating.
2. A 7mm strip needs to be removed from the front glacis to fix the rounded prow. I did this by measuring (twice) with a steel ruler and then used dynamo tape to set up a scribe line. The back of a hobby blade cut through after that.
3. The hull machine gun mount needed to be replaced... . Doing this created a cavity in the front armor. I anticipated this but it was still annoying.
4. I put a bead of Tamiya putty around the hole and pressed the replacement part into the putty. A bead of liquid cement helped to soften the putty and the part...
5. Dirty lacquer thinner helped to "rough in" the mount by spreading the thinner and smothing it somewhat.
Up next will be work on the weld bead and further blending and texturing the front plate.
Thank you for looking.
