The Luftwaffe has announced they will be converting 15 single seat Eurofighters (don't call it a Typhoon) to Eurofighter EK (Elektronicsher Kampf) configuration. They will be equipped with the AGM-88E AARGM, a missionized pod and SAAB's Areixs EW suite (currently used on JAS 39E/F). They are scheduled to be operational by 2030.
The Luftwaffe has also announced a R&D program for a "Loyal Wingman" UCAV. It could act as a stand-alone EW asset, wingman for the Eurofighter EK or escort for current or future aircraft. This program is part of the French-German-Spanish Future Air Combat System.
Cheers,
