I was unaware that Kittyhawk closed up shop. I never built on of their kits so I don't know how the quality was. I did want to try on if the Blackhawks but man they were pricy.

Although over on LSP, there is speculation that HobbyBoss might have bought the molds, that's just what I read so don't shoot the messenger

Kitty Hawk and sister company Panda Models both closed shop when Song decided to stop. Sophia Lym must have agreed leaving many, like their US rep, Glen Coleman, in the cold. Kitty Hawk molds were indeed sold and speculation is that they went to Hobby Boss (Trumpeter's sister company). I have no idea if the Panda Models (armor) were also sold (perhaps Trumpeter). I do know that Glen is working for a new company which are producing 1/48th scale models.

So, wait on the helos... they may not get cheaper but they will be easier to find.

Interesting info on the molds, though it is not surprising.

I personally would like to see Revell do a run on the 1/35 Jagdpanzerkanonen. The kit is bringing $100 plus now
