Looks like a time saver!

Regards,

Interesting. Thats not something you see a lot of pictures of. Very cool stuff. I wonder though how the cam net would be affixed as there doesnt seem to be any means of support. Thanks Saul.

James,found a pic from Tankfest.
Seems the Churchilltank had tie-down loops to get the camo-net fixed to its turret.
[don't know if this was standard on all CT turrets...]

I agree with MOONIE,

It looks like a chore to paint. Personally I think it would've been cool for CHRIS to include the Netting as a separate item & you could then drape it around a Churchill , or even a FireFly ... It looks Cool , but a Bear to Paint & make look real. ??

Not much different than the Black Dog version of the Hessian camo for the Priest or Cromwell...just spray on your camo and all those nooks and crannies really receive some Mig washes quite well...

Yeah, even if I made my own net from gauze, I'd attach it to the turret in the build and paint it once complete. Masking tape, card stock, or just a steady hand even, I hate trying to assemble pre-painted stuff.

As for the turret, looks like some clean up/filling will be needed around the inside of those open hatches if you want to keep them open. Some of the netting along the bottom/back seems to be filled in a bit too?

:hmmm

Don't get me wrong, maybe chore is not the right word, challenge, and I'm not one who's against a challenge.

After showing Inside the Armour the thread, they sent along these photos.

Here is the turret with a base coat of paint. Picking out the details with dry brush technique and a controlled brush doesn't look too hard to do...

Even though its just a base coat that makes the turret better looking. And yes with drybrushing it should come out very nice. Thanks for doing this, it shows it off in a whole new way. Very cool.
James

With just one paintcoat, you can see the rough textured turret already pops out!
Thanks for doing this,Saúl

Greetings,Ron.

Guys,

My apologies. This isn't my turret. I pointed out the concerns many had to Inside the Armour (ITA) and they responded with these photos. I will update that post. Vendors are watching and responding!
