Would that be the mount and flaring between the fuselage and wing of the PBY? Not sure what they really call it.

OK, it was too easy.

It is an ex-Lend-Lease PBY Catalina which went to Brazil and was returned. The current owner is the USMC. It is under restoration at New York City's Historic Aircraft Restoration Project (H.A.R.P.) on Floyd Bennett Field. I was training several organizations there (USMC Reserves, NYPD Air Units, and DSNY Academy). Took a walk over to the hangar and shot 210 photos (some came out crappy due to lighting).

So, where should I begin posting? PBY? NYPD Grumman Goose, USCG Penguin, USCG Albatross, SNJ, C-97, C-47, A-4, Stearman, PT-26 (a PT-19 with a canopy), S-2F (Stoof), propellers, or engines?

I did not concentrate on the usual stuff. Only close up of details that I could not recall seeing in my reference books.

Sounds like a very cool gig. Post all of them! It does not matter to me What is first.
