So ever had one of those moments when you wonder what you are doing and why your doing it? Not an ahhh shoot moment or anything like that, but a lucid what was I thinking moment.

I got 3 bogeys on a Sherman done and started on the next set. Nip here, sand there, this is fun and relaxing.

Place road wheels on axles. Hmm dont fit well. Hmm these axles look almost like someone cut and crushed them while removing from sprue. Hmmm what a twit :eek:hmy:

Maybe I should finish installing the dishwasher..........or not. Maybe put the bbq (Grill for purists) together..........or not

Whats on television I wonder.

Tomorrow I'll rob another kit and try again. Wonder how I can muck it up this time.
Ohh well

Got the hull done as of now. Went together well with no other problems. Then started assembling a 1 : 1 scale bbq (grill). Steaks tomorrow. Yeah haw

Hey there James.

Are you saying that you cut the axles off of the bogies? If you did, you can drill them and use styrene rod or thin aluminium for the axles. When I converted my Tamiya M3 Grants and Lees to the proper five spoke wheels I had to replace the bogie axles on most of the models because the five spoke wheels I was using from Italeri Shermans had much smaller axle openings than the Tamiya six spoke wheels did.

What Peter said but use Brass...I like Brass... :mpup

Hi there.

No! Leave our lovely commander alone! Use aluminium. I like aluminium for axles like this because it cuts so easily and is a cinch to smooth down.

Doh. Well had to go diggin through the garbage, but retrieved the bogies. Will replace the axles. Cant believe I didnt think about that in the first place.
