Florence Air and Missile museum.

I came from a moderate sized small city in South Carolina and we had a locally owned air museum at the airport. It closed for good in 97- and alot of the planes ect have been moved to Charlotte and other places but this was a great place to visit or even drive past on the way to Myrtle Beach. I'm sure some have seen it!

Here is a partial listing of the aircraft there....

Unfortunately pictures of the place tend to be rare, though there is a local effort to dig up what's out there. I really was fortunate to have seen it in its heyday.

That's a SNARK wait..that aint' a snark...what is that? a Hound Dog?

I may have some pictures from there, haven't seen them in years but it'll give me an excuse to go through the albums.

Bob there was supposedly talk among some model guys in the 80's of building a diorama of the museum as it sat then, I don't know if that ever happened but I did see some nice overhead shots taken from a small plane. There is stuff out there.

There's been some rublin' about a road trip to the Charlotte museum. Don't know when that's going to happen.

I see the Wiki does not have the c124 listed. I'd add it but for some reason, everytime I add something to Wiki it gets deleted so I gave up a while back.
