Just found out that the beloved Mr Spock, Leonard Nimoy, has passed away from complications due to COPD.

I recently watched the Fringe series and he was on there as an occasional character. He was really looking quite old and frail then and that series has been off air now for a few years.
Still it is a sad day to see him go. He was one of those icons that seems to have been there forever.
