April in history

Have you ever considered all the historical things that happen in April? No particular order.

US Civil war started and ended in April. Not to mention numerous number of battles during that war.
Titanic sunk.
Bay of Pigs
1906 San Francisco earthquake.
Doolittle Raid.
Concord and Lexington.
Battle of San Jacinto (Texas Independence)
Chernobyl

I've read that the military actions are because after winter thaw the roads are passable again and many military engagements are initiated when the armies can move but that doesn't cover it all.

Maybe other months are as full but April has always struck me odd.

Thoughts?

Just in the recent past. Mostly on the 19th. OKC bombing killing 168, Branch Davidians. 16-inch turret on the Iowa explodes killing 47, and the most notable, for me at least, April 19, 1959, Linda Jeanean Colvin is born, whom I met in 1974 and after 20 years in the navy I married her. My teenage heart throb. 32 years.

April has been the traditional start of the Campaign Season, especially in the Northern Hemisphere. Until the 20th Century armies went into winter quarters when rain, snow and cold would choke supply lines.

Death of Richard I (Lionheart) 1199
Culloden 1746 (I purportedly had relatives on both sides of this tiff between England and Scotland)
RAF formed 1918
RCAF formed 1924
Bataan Death March 1942
Buchenwald liberated 1945 (3 yrs to the day of the start of the Bataan Death March)
NATO formed 1949
Apollo 13 1970
Falkland Islands War started 1982

Cheers,

I hoped that April Morning would not be forgotten.

The 1925 first night landing aboard USS Langley.
The 1940 Royal navy engagement the DKM at Narvik, 9 April
The 1942 Battle of the Coral Sea began 31 April.
The 1945 Okinawa Landings began on 1 April.
