Lancaster X KB882 will be making its new home in Edmonton. Edmunston, NB, its home since retiring in 1964, agreed to the transfer after being unable to get a proper shelter built for it. It flew 19 operational sorties with 434 & 428 Squadrons during WWII. It was modified to the Mk. 10MR configuration and flew witn 407 Sqdn. Later it was converted to a Mk.10P and with 408 Sqdn. flew Artic mapping missions. The museum plans to overhaul it and finish it in 408 Sqdn. markings as used in the Artic. 408 Sqdn is currently the TacHel squadron stationed at Edmonton Garrison.
