    #6447 Italeri M47 Patton

Thanks. I just finished opening up the rearmost triangular shaped engine deck grates. That went a lot easier than the others did. Experience makes it easier I guess. I really like the way those turned out and am glad now that I opened those louvres as I was going to leave them closed as I...

    #6447 Italeri M47 Patton

I've been working on the 1/35 scale Italeri M47 Patton tank model and since it comes with an engine compartment tub and partial engine I decided to open all t he louvres on the engine deck. What a mind numbingly tedious job that is. I've also added exhaust and cooling pipes to t he engine and...

    Italeri 1/35 M47 Patton Engine?

Hi there fellow model builders. It's been a long time since I've posted here. I hope you all are doing well. I've been working on the old 1/35 scale Italeri M47 Patton kit #6447. I kind of liked the looks of the engine so I decided to open up all the louvres in the deck plates. What a job! Can...

    Meng's upcoming Fokker Dr.1

@ jeaton01. Unfortunately you need TWO of those old 1/28 Revell Fokker DR 1 kits because the ailerons on each side of the wing are different. Cheers

WNW and TVAL closing? The End

There's a shoe store here in town that does that. they frequently put up a GOING OUT OF BUSINESS sign with a very faint bar through OF and a tiny for under it. I figure if they're that sneaky that I don't wantt o do business with them. Cheers

Not help ? but just an observation re Italeri jeep

Hi there. This isn't a help question just an observation I made today about the 1/35 scale Italeri jeep kit. I was getting ready to add the gear levers, steering column and on the back of the windscreen the holder for the rifle. I just noticed that Italeri would have you put that piece on...

    Latest Acquisitions Revisited!

Latest Acquisitions Yes, sometimes a model kit unlocks a storehouse of fond memories. I had a similar experience recently when I started building my Revell 1/240 scale HMS Campbeltown Destroyer aka USS Buchannan. I built that model at my mom's dad's place. The 1/600 scale Airfix WW2 ships are...

    Latest Acquisitions Revisited!

Latest Acquisitions Thanks. Found that out years ago with some after-market vinyl tracks. I dipped them into water and t hey shriveled up like a worm on a sidewalk in the heat. Cheers

    Latest Acquisitions Revisited!

Latest Acquisitions Got another 1/35 scale Airfix M1A2 Abrams tank. It's a real fun build. Heavy sarcasm there. The lower hull plate is badly warped as is a part of the rear hull plate. Looks like hot water time will be needed to straighten those parts. Cheers

    An unlikely escort

I like how you've masked off the engines. I'll have to remember that way of doing it. It sure is shaping up. Cheers

    HELP! With stash thinning

Thank you very much for that James. I served in the Canadian Armed forces as did my dad and my mother's dad. We have many family graves in Europe of other serving family members who didn't make it through WW2. Cheers

Photo Preview: Super Drawings in 3D HMS Rodney

Neat! A scan and then lightening the Gamma will bring out more details if needed. BTW, can you image being in one of those rafts with the mesh floor (no solid bottom) in the North Atlantic in winter or early spring? Brrrrr! Cheers

    The ETO Battlewagon-M4A3E8(76)-Dragon 1/35th

Didn't see any reason in the Tip Jar thread after you posted there on 04 May 2015 13:32. The only other post I see from you after that date is this one on 05 Mar 2020 09:05 = "New software is being setup as we type." Cheers
