    Phrozen Mega 8K S printer

I have read that the print quality/detail is better with the PHROZEN SONIC MINI 8K S over the Saturn 3 12K. is this true? I am ready to get this ball rolling.

    Phrozen Mega 8K S printer

This is a timely post. I am really leaning towards the PHROZEN SONIC MINI 8K S LCD PRINTER. It is not easy to find the right 3d printer. I saw somewhere a 3d printer came with "COB + Fresnel Collimating Lens". Really!? I need a 3d printer to english translation manual.

    Brummbar (Early), Tamiya (1975) - 1/35 Scale

I am looking forward to the painting and weathering. It is a superb build. I like that tarps for the super structure and gun. If you look at WWII photographs, when on the move the vehicles were tarped.

Pak 40 Beutewagon, translates to kicked my butt in German.

"But the truck is just microscopic parts and intricate construction where 4 pieces are made instead of 1. Its just not my thing any more." I completely agree. I especially hate 4 pieces that have to perfectly lined up for the next step. There are a few manufactures that can pull this off. Meng...

Correct color for this item M109 Doher

Is that the main gun cleaning rods? I don't know about this vehicle, but most of this kind of thing is painted with camouflage and or base color which would wear off. If I am right about them being the rods to clean the main gun, handling would wear the paint off. Whatever they are made of is...

    Modeler's Alliance Zoom Meeting

It would be nice to have a theme and discuss it. Say, bare metal techniques or at what max distance can a 30-06 hit a 1/35 vehicle.

Mid Iowa Modelers Expo 4 NNL /IPMS Glue Brothers, 19 August 2023. Grimes, Iowa.

The GT-500 Cobra Mustang is amazing. Paint hides nothing so the prep work had to be incredible too.

    Italeri Bugatti 1/12

I never would have thought of silver for the scratches, but it works. Superb job here too.

    Italeri Bugatti 1/12

Superb build in every respect. However; what is coming soon? The leather seat. I am very interested in this as I am working on a leather bench seat right now.

    AnkerMake printer

Thank you all for the answers. What started me serious looking at 3D prints was a number of things. The files to print many things I use are available online. The price of printers are not that expensive. The Saturn 2 8k (XY Resolution 7680*4320) is $300. The Saturn 3 12k (XY Resolution...

    AnkerMake printer

I am interested in this 3D printing, but lost in all that it entails. From what I understand: 8k resin printer minimum (for what we do). Slicer software (what is this?) A curing station. If your in no hurry, why not wait? What am I missing? Thanks

    DIY grab handles

Here is a way to make grab handles. I bought a sheet of evergreen 2037 - Freight Car Siding .020" HO which comes with grooves. I then glued the sheet to some backing for rigidity. The picture shows the result. It does work but, it would be easier if the grooves were a little deeper. I will make...

I have ordered a Touch-n-Flow applicator. I bought another brand that just flowed out. I assumed nobody got this type of applicator right. Thanks for the tip.

    1/35 German Atlantikwall stuff

How did you make the concrete blocks for the bunker? I am so disappointed you lost the build photographs. I looked at your other postings. You could easily write a book

    1/35 German Atlantikwall stuff

Wow. That is exactly what I am doing. Thank you. Those two curves in the sled are what is giving me problems. I will finish it. I bought plastic, rivets everything to do it (can't buy skill). There is one difference with my Opel Blitz. The cab was sometimes cut off which is what I am going to...

    1/35 German Atlantikwall stuff

No. The ones that were placed in the bed of trucks. I couldn't find anybody that made one. I read the review of Masterpiece Models' Tape. It sounded interesting so I went to their web site. Guess who makes a flak sled? Masterpiece models. The wonderful world of modelling.

AFV M109A2 Doher Or how to Overcomplicate a Model!

I do think over engineered kits are worth the trouble. I am just not up to that. On the bench is a Tamiya tank from the motorized days and an Italeri Opel Blitz. This thread has made me an expert in tweezers.
