I know that Saul has reviewed a few of these but since I have the series up to date a a few others that are related , a revisit and a 'High Pass' on the series to date would be appropriate. Also James asked for a post etc on these at the last MA GOOGLE meet. The WAR IN UKRAINE series 1-12 (so...

I have the set of German cammo books from this guy and they are very good, so I thought you may enjoy this link and get a chance to check out the books...

Time for another modern Russian tank, this time the T-90A. This modified version used by the Ukraine grabbed my attenion. It will require some extra Kontakt bricks and stand-off grates for the turret rear, plus a cammo frame that I will make from wire. ....and we are off and running (I...

Discussions with a mate of mine has had me down the Panzer 4/70A path .................first up the early version from Tamiya. Early Version The above version was built in late September 1944, just after the intial batch that still had Zimmerit (but were the last to have it applied). These...

Well, here I am with my next project to do after these WW1 Armoured car projects. I found a couple of profiles in a recent purchase - THE IRAN/IRAQ WARS (AK Profiles - Modern conflicts Vol.4) I found these 2 images. 1.IRANIAN 2. IRAQI QUESTION :- So I think I know which one I like but are...

I often wonder what started other modellers on their journey and how different their stories would be from mine, so I thought a post on this might be interesting for everyone to read and discuss. :hmm: So I will start, to give everyone an idea of what I mean in case there are a few who are...

This 'bricked -up' toughie is already started and coming soon to a channel near you ........:dude: I searched out as many shots of this tank as I could find - some have been taken at different times if you look at the slogans painted on the barrel and the side rubber sheet hanging out with...

Spotted this as a new release at BNA yesterday ..............didn't even know they were doing it. Nashorn willmost likely follow.

Well, I went and bought another T-55, even though I have quite a few now [with the AM version as well] but thats not the point. I saw this and 2 things grabbed me, the nice boxart and the fact that it's from RFM. I have really grown to love models from RFM and this will be no exception I think...

Hello again and welcome back to my 'fantasy sub book' list - another hopeful. U-516 Another great sub project - a unique version of the Type 9C in 1945. The same Revell kit as used on U190 will be used again for U516 with varying modifications according to the specifications/detail changes...

Hello again and welcome back to my 'fantasy sub book' list - hopefully it will get done. U-190 What a banger of a sub project and a really interesting version of the Type 9C/40. Launched on the 8th June 1942, it was a slotted style deck boat built by AG Wesser in Bremen. Over the course of...

Got this in my email today...............

While i procrastinate on finishing my figures to finalise my T-72B3M, and before finishing my T-80U, I thought I could fit in another version of the T-72 currently used by the Russians and Seperatists in the Ukraine confict. This particular version is basically an early T-72B3. It doesn't have...

Hi everyone, I thought this might be interesting for you guys who do not live down here in Australia and may not have been here either. I live in the south of the country, in Victoria. We have a nice spot just out of Melbourne (our second largest city) in the surrounding ranges - basically in...

I didn't even know this one was coming! https://www.bnamodelworld.com/military-vehicles-tanks-das-werk-dw16018-1-16-sdkfz.-250-1-ausf.-a-half-track-apc

I HAVE MOVED THIS THREAD ACROSS FROM THE PREVIOUS POST TO KEEP IT PURELY T-80U AND KEEP THE ORIGINAL POST AS A REFERENCE AND INFO THREAD. My progress on the RFM T-80U.. This is my first RFM kit experience even though I have a number in my stash. I will treat this build as an overall review at...

T-72B3M in the Ukraine - Refuelling stop outside Mariupol 2022. This was the tank that caught my interest initially, super tough looking, heaps of updated details like the stand-off armour grates, Relik box turret armour, charge bag armour plus the ever present 'mag wheel' spoke design which I...

With Uboats stiill in play, as well as my Brumbars and Panzer3's to finish, i have been bittern by post WW2 Russian armour, mainly due to tracking the progress of the Ukraine War. The images of Russian armour used on both sides, captured, blown up, worn out or waiting for combat, has grabbed me...

At last someone has done this other than Tamiya(which is really hard to get now) - can't wait. A weird and cool T-55 variant that saw action in the Gulf.

U-218 1945 I thought I would highlight some unique details associated with U-218, the only surviving Type 7D to make it to surrender in 1945. As a model builder this is a very interesting subject to build via modifying the 1/72 Revell Kit AND IS ON MY BUILD LIST. 1941 - IN ITS ORIGINAL...
