    So groundwork is done and painted in black ( this is the only time i base something in black ) changed the drum to a better one and based in red oxide, the other bits are basecoated too and of course all in acrylics

    It handles really well for subtle shading and effects. i followed some youtube videos explaining application. I tend to stay away from oils etc as the thinner effects my chest. So I use acrylics in their many forms as much as possible of course I do use oils but very sparingly ...

    Is there such a thing as over detailing ? my phone camera zooms in close but perhaps too close as the paintwork looks awful but much better when zoomed out or even to the naked eye
