    MFH Matra MS11 FINISHED

So this is my Matrra MS11, a 1968 F1 car from Matra Simca. Like all MFH models it threw up some challenges, but to be fair they really are quite ambitious and will test you and sometimes they will win. My only real problem here was fitting the nose cone which quite frankly doesn't fit. With...

    Latest Acquisitions Revisited!

All i would say is since buying my electric pin vice i have never used my manual ones. its much easier to get an accurate hole if you are not having to twiddle the holder as well as the bit, more likely to be to size and less likely to snap the bit on sub 1mm sizes. with models like the MFH...

The 95ft (28.95m) Nao Santa Maria arrived at Sovereign Harbour on Thursday and the public will be able to tour...

    MFH Matra MS11 FINISHED

Rear wing on, some electrical wiring added and tidyed , roll bar fitted. Just some rivets to drill into the body and some wing mirrors to fit. Wheels will go on last as i dont like the idea of them, being quite heavy, hanging on the suspension while i am still picking this up. Fitting the...

I was standing on the cliffs only yesterday , its a bit cooler on the coast. 100f inland. A sign of the times that there is a permanent chaplin patrolling the cliffs now to talk people out of jumping.... about 25 people a year jump They built an emergency runway at RAF Manston for the US...

    Latest Acquisitions Revisited!

Every now and then you come across a model that beats you. It either doesn’t fit, its detail wise all wrong or you heart was never in it and life is too short. If the manufacturer can’t be bothered to get it right , why should I ? You know the sort of thing. Well for me it will always be the...

    MFH Matra MS11 FINISHED

The wheels are an absolute joy The tyres are screen printed with a yellow Dunlop , the rims are CNC turned alloy and the centres are cast in white metal. I sprayed the centres semi gloss black, let it go hard then polished back to bare metal the raised spokes.

Another way of describing it would be imagine having a small gold chain, it acts like that. I have found some in my box and i took a short video of it and its something daft like 35mb :)
