    Yeah you're not going to do that with all these kits. The rigging on the cabane struts go into the struts themselves not the wing so I'm going to do that. I need to get decals on the top wing and rig the ailerons, it's time to put a flat coat on this to knock down the shine.

    Yep, the way I read it those paint jobs were changing constantly. 127/17 was the one that ended up in the Museum in Berlin, photos of it there show the incomplete paint job. It was destroyed during bombing in WW2.

    The engineering on this kit is outstanding. Notice this is just hanging on the cabane struts, the outer struts are not in position yet.

    Wow, I haven't heard of this happening to the WnW stuff but I suppose it could happen to any batch. Shouldn't be much of a task to mask?

    @Brokeneagle not much we can do with this. Glenn uses the imgr website and that's what he is used to. Don't know why that site would be slow for you, maybe they do not have the global presence as others.

    @jknaus Sorry you didn't make the call today. I got smart and added some tie down points to the jig you hooked me up on. Really helping on the rigging of the tail feathers.

    I was thinking of another way to get wood.. :dance: And picked up a variety of paint markers from the HL. First test...not so good. got a Tamiya base but the blender pen cut right into the base. Will smoke tis over.

    Love the Thud. Gotta remember those things had internal bombbay also and their foot print on the ground was about the same as a B17. Wingspan not the same but with that much thrust who needs wings!
