    Latest Acquisitions Revisited!

My genius Sweetie has come up with a hilarious summer fun idea! Don't take my word for it! I invite you to have a gander at this spank-brand new product from her Eggknobs & Inksticks category and make up your own mind! I will confess to writing my usual, creative listing for her. The...

    Border Models HE 111

This kit isn't quite as spendy as I imagined it would be at $179.99 + freight from Squadron, but Holly Molly! It's huge!

    1/350 USCG SPC-HWX 52-Foot Motor Lifeboat kit #126

4 new molds failed. 3 of them were for the HWC-SPX kit. Old material/contamination caused the pink bubble goo, again. A couple of days of bathing the Masters in isopropyl, picking pink globs, and repairing the Masters is at an end. On the brighter side, a "Do Over" allows a chance to make...

2026 Plastic Surgeons Meetings and Other Model Fun!

4 June, 2026. An interesting day. The anniversary of the beginning of the Battle of Midway. The anniversary of my Dad's sudden death. Coffee pot: Crapped out. 1 1/2 cups of coffee is not enough for any modeling endeavor, even when a guy is on vacation. Attempting repairs, I scalded myself...

    1/350 USCG SPC-HWX 52-Foot Motor Lifeboat kit #126

The final element of the 1/350 52' HWX-SPC boat set is the 1/1 scale USCG Surfman qualification award. Molding and casting this vertically seemed the most logical method of letting the air out of the mold. Resin reproductions of this will be included in each kit. RTV coming up!

1/350 Small Boat Set. TLAR Models #1125

The 3rd 1/350 scale narco fast boat crewman has been added and all the C/A glue shinies are flatted. It's not easy to see the time consuming progress on the boat wakes and bow waves, but this project is making headway, a little bit (?!?) at a time.

Is this the norm at MFH, or did they recently hire someone's idiot nephew to fill kits, in your opinion?

1/350 Small Boat Set. TLAR Models #1125

Experience gained from the Cube-Boat projects shows that it is much easier to finish off such things if one "puts the boats in the water". It is doubtful that a 25-RB-S boat would have the grunt to catch a speedy narco smuggler, but it IS my favorite US Coast Guard small boat. Work on clear...

2026 Plastic Surgeons Meetings and Other Model Fun!

The 2025/26 school year has come to a close. My Sp. Ed. teaching job at the school is ended. I thanked my homeroom students for teaching me so much and welcoming me to the their Whitter family. I'm sure these 5th graders taught me more than I did them! I played a few final pranks on students...
