Not to highjack the thread about lightfast materials, but we do want our art to last. Krylon and Winsor Newton make spray varnish with UV blockers. Look for the word Archival on the label. Krylon's actually says "UV Resistant Clear" right on the can.

If it has a UV blocker in it then the answer is "yes, a little". I always chuckle when I see celebs signing things with a sharpie. Good luck keeping that for more than a year or two unless you keep it hidden in a drawer.

It is most likely operator error. Insufficient knowledge, as it were. I could not, for the life of me, figure out how to keep all 7 parts from dancing around as I tried to hold them together while laying it down to dry.
