    QLR conversion on CWT

Don't worry, friends, I will finish it for sure. It's just that it takes a lot of time and (unnecessary) effort to get it right. Btw, did I mention the price of this conversion ? 70 Euro (about 80-90 dollar at that time) You woukld expect a perfect kit for that money, right ? Well, I...

    QLR conversion on CWT

Never fits, hard to handle the warping, breaks very fast, superglue is hard to correct, etc. Only good thing is the fine detailing, but these days plastic is almost equally good. Resin is ok for figures and accesories, larger vehicles: NONO imo. Just my 2 cents. Willem

    QLR conversion on CWT

Hi all, Steady as she goes. Keep on dry-fit and dry fit. Forget the build order from the manual, you are on your own... I ever did a all-resin vehicle and swore to never do it again. Well I guessed just a conversion would be far easier, NOT !! Will be my last too. Bottom done Working on...

    15 cwt instrument panel

Thanks for your support Sherman I found most of these links myself. The most alike is from your first answer, but still not the right one. Here is a picture: The right half with the speedo is about right, but left and the topstructure ? It was mentioned in a text somewhere, so I guess ever...

    15 cwt instrument panel

Someone has a decent picture of it ? Googled all night with just one single, still very vague result  It is the panel with the extra structure on top Cant get it, the cwt has been built a thousand times, but no one gives a picture of that detail.... Thanks ahead, Willem

    QLR conversion on CWT

Hi all, Kitbashing fun ! This is a conversion set, radio version QLR for the famous Bedford QL series. While I have no Bedford in my stash, but two Chevrolet CWT's, decided to join them together. I don't know if this was ever done, but those ww2 mechanics were real wizards in the field. It is...

Tamiya 35009 = Pz II or III = Accuracy of?

Hi, Have this Pz II on my latest dio (Germans in the sand) As Mr.T said, reasonably good, except for the tracks, which I replaced by Friuls. The included figures are out of date for todays standards, if you want the best: don't use them. Oh and the exhaust cover is wrong, should be perforated...

Desert - dio 5: Germans in the sand

Thanks guys. @Moon_puppy: Its not that hard, Bob. I could describe it, but pictures do a much better job, right ? Next time a SBS with pictures ? But I am far from being the best around in these :notworthy: Maybe ask one of our Masters ? @ij001: Ian think of this: a tank or a plane can...

Desert - dio 5: Germans in the sand

Hi all, Resuming to my desert series.... A Panzerjager I and a Pzkw II. This could be near El Agheila, when Rommel started his first offensive. The vehicles are not very battle-worn yet in this stage, just dust and small scratches. Some of you might wonder how I build that fast. Answer is...
