Andy, thankyou and at a pinch the measurements are as follows, based on a 51-52mm figure, head to sole. From hip bone to boot sole I'd go approx. 28-29mm. From groin to top of head it would be roughly the same 28mm. Bear in mind the overlap of both measurements by about 4-5mm Now the arms...

I hit the surface with some further acrylic raw umber, attempting to get in n under to coat the whole surface. Two or three coats later, it is practically covered. I use a basic cheapo brush, as it really does get squashed when pressing in to the mud surface. It is pretty hard to see the slope...
