I did a mod on my Ju88 build the last time I worked on it. Vertical Stab. No time now to go into it. So this is a reminder post.

    Tamiya Spitfire Mk IX (1/32)

As with watch parts, if it isn't on the floor it is probably on your bench. Checking the floor first is a must as a footfall or chair roller can mangle a part. I have a part from my 251 that ended up on the floor and rolled over by the chair wheel. Didn't know it was there. The challenges...

Updated! Totally free Archer Fine Transfer 1/16th and 1/24th Scale Sheets

I'm pretty much OK with however you want to split it up for sharing Saúl. The big armor is a bit pricey, but I am actually building and making progress on it while having a good time doing so. Thus I have delved a bit deeper than I thought I originally would. Who knows I might grab a big Tiger...

    Magnet wire/ Lead wire container

Good idea James. I might scratch something up with the scraps of aluminum, brass, and acrylic I have around for the small wire rolls I have.

    Tamiya Spitfire Mk IX (1/32)

Don't sweat it Paddy! The level of detail is actually the same, or rather the size of the detail you are doing/adding is the same small size. It's just a smaller piece on 1/12th scale as opposed to the size on a 1/32nd scale. Remember Mark 1 eyeballs can only see down to a certain size without...

    Maybe of interest to Paddy.

I think it is just a version that is out of production at the moment. The Africa Corp version is still findable with the smoothie tires. That one is the European tires.

    Maybe of interest to Paddy.

Not as steep as that 1/16th scale Kubelwagen. That one is way over the top.

    Tamiya Spitfire Mk IX (1/32)

Hey Paddy, be aware that they might be a bit oversized. I discovered this when I did the seatbelts for my Go229. When I started actually studying the sizes and how they set in the seats, it turned out the 1/32 HGW PE was at least closer to 1/24th, not sure about the "cloth" parts of the belts...

I watched a video one time and they used a water based wash and pre wet the model first. Yeah washes are a pain.

Das Werk SdKfz 251/1 Ausf D in 1/16th scale

Thanks Bob, the incision is FINALLY settling down and not hurting so much. This has been the most painful surgery on this yet (#4) They must have really gone in and dug around a lot.

Das Werk SdKfz 251/1 Ausf D in 1/16th scale

Here are the rear doors with the working latches and linkages added. Again in this scale it is all big enough to make it look right and work properly. Yeah, it is a little delicate and if I see someone playing with it I will break their fingers. (Should not touch models that aren't yours)...
