    Andy, Yes to the base. Similar to the one I used for blackbeard. You can get them in 1 1/2 inches square and around 2 inches high. If 2 inches is too high for stability you can cut it down to around 1 1/2 inch high and it will still leave room for a plaque. That way it will not take much...

    Andy, I commented on the other site, but I would leave the size of the base as is and maybe put him on a square Pedestal wood base with a nice name plaque Fill the base out to the size of the square pedestal wood base. Just my suggestion as to a finish. Cheers John

    We had a fantastic time and as you can see, the table setting was fabulous. Bob cooked the most wonderful meal and dessert, we even got to take home the leftovers and had those last night. Just delicious and probably the best meal we have ever had. Thanks Bob and Susan. John and Maureen.
