a couple more. a guy from another forum sent these to me. This was his company in Iraq. He didn't say where, but these are well used vehicles. Taken at the same time as the ugly track photo in the previous post. I guess in the area they were, the dirt was a lot darker then other areas.

I guess it depends on where the vehicle is... some look to be really filthy with dark dirt, some look to have just dust on them this shot of the tracks was taken before they changed them out. but an example of really filthy... note rubber on the road wheels. the rear most sets take a...

Side view, to the right is the front of the turret. to the left is the wall of the commanders station. point of view is as you are standing next to the vehicle looking up into that hole. behind the ejection chutes and little fan is the cannon.

do not fill that in. that is where the links for the 25mm eject as well as the coax's shells and links this is what is in that "hole" fume fan, link chutes, Coax mount and feed belt. the left wall is the hatch to the commanders station. also, this is where the Bradley Coax is different from...

yea, that is how I remember it. Open and you saw the missile tubes when loaded. I used a clear red paint by model master for my A3 kit's periscopes. it looked pretty good. I forget the name and the bottle is gone. :( Ruby red or something, it was in the auto paint section. a point of trivia...

pretty much correct - The sight to the right of the commander is the Commanders Independent Sight (CIS), so he can look around without messing with the main sight the gunner is using. That appears to be dark grey or black. I've never seen any detail on this sight to show the lens. The gunner's...

Bob, on that version (A3) the periscopes are tinted a pinkish color. From what I understand it is a anti-laser coating or something like that. see the drivers periscopes? and your not kidding about maintenance books. LOL the turret was for Sargent and above - they had their own manual. LOL...

that turret is looking sweet! That top iron sight is a crude anti-aircraft sight. we never trained with it.

yes, the pads are replaceable. in Germany we replaced them twice a year to avoid roadway damage. It takes pretty much a full 8 hour work day to do one vehicle. 82 pads on right side and 84 pads on left side. I don't know why the difference. It made the vehicle pull to the left. When the tracks...
