    Question to London-based modelers

I came back yesterday from London where I spent two very pleasant weeks. All went extremely well, I did everything I had set out to do and even the weather was on my side with little to no rain! On the modeling side of things I got to see the RAF museum as well as the Science museum. I spent...

    Question to London-based modelers

I'll be in London during the second fortnight of January and, of course, I intend to do some modeling-related sightseeing! That means basically two things: aviation museums and modeling shops. The trip is strictly business and I'll be pretty busy with not a lot of free time so I intend to make...

Time for the decals. That round emblem on the convex surface took quite some sweet talking to get it to conform. I used Daco Strong as a decal softener. Worked well but one has to be careful. It should be swished over the decal with a brush rather than left to soak as it will melt the paint...

Post-shading of the crosses: Painting of the details. I used Vallejos, Vallejo Air metalics and inks in places as well as graphite powder for some of the metallic finishes. M

    1946 - Me P.1099B - JUST FINISHED!...

1946 - Me P.1099B...THE OFFICE...DONE! I was asking cos I read somewhere that CA reacts with lead over time with bad consequences for the model. Never had a problem with it personally but then I don't use CA (I use candle wax, which is intert). M
