    Japanese a/c prototype color

Thank you both for taking the time to answer! Christian, I'm not sure what you mean with Vallejo 23 & 24. Vallejo usually uses 5 digit reference codes. I found none that ends in 23 or 24 that is an orange or yellow color. M

    Japanese a/c prototype color

Apparently WW II Japanese a/c prototypes and trainer were painted a yellow/orange color. After Googling the subject, looking for what paint to use, I feel I know less than when I started. Any help on this would be appreciated, especially advise on what hobby paint to use. M

    1/72 Kayaba Katsuodori Ramjet Fighter

Thanks, MP! It's smaller than the Komet and the smallest model I've build so far. :) M

    1/72 Kayaba Katsuodori Ramjet Fighter

Painting of the pit: Gunze for the airbrush, Vallejo for the paintbrush. It's not a big model. LOL Cramped space for the pilot! The good thing with this kit is that the canopy is very thin and transparent. All the detail will be perfectly visible. More to come... M

    1946 - Me P.1099B - JUST FINISHED!...

1946 - Me P.1099B - UPDATE FEB/18th... Thanks Luiz for your answer to my question. I see you're doing the same with the guns as with the LG. I'd dread to paint all these parts in situ but I'm sure you know what you're doing. That primer has a very nice, smooth finish. Never seen it before...

    1/72 Kayaba Katsuodori Ramjet Fighter

Here is my next build: Kayaba Katsuodori from Meng in 1/72. It’s Hikoki 46, which is the Japanese equivalent of Luft 46, Hikoki meaning roughly ‘airplane.’ Strictly Whatif. The aircraft: The Katsuodori was a swept-wing, tailless design, which never reached mock-up stage. The heart of the...

    Question to London-based modelers

MP, this is the milestones of flight hangar: a/c representing milestones in the history of flight are exhibited here, not only British subjects. Forgot to mention: my only deception was when I found the area reserved to Luftwaffe subjects in the Battle of Britain hangar closed off because the...

    Question to London-based modelers

More pics coming but I have to confess that my photography sucks. For sure my camera does. It's good enough for my modeling needs but far from enough to capture big objects like airplanes under closed space lighting conditions. The flash just isn't powerful enough. Plus, after I shot a 100 odds...
