    Staghound

Re:Staghound and Triumph Thanks guys. The painting is finished. The stowage took a long time. Now for the weathering. I painted a cap badge to add to the dio base.

    Italian Campaign!

I'm definitely in! Maybe a Hasty-p's universal carrier with the recent Dragon Commonwealth infantry and a burro in the mix for fun. Or a Panther D. Or a figure vignette. :S You're right about variety in Italy. Because it was the forgotten front after D-Day the allies had to be more...

I like the figure of the dwarven hero on the penny-farthing bicycle.

    Staghound

Re:Staghound and Triumph Thanks everyone! I finished the motorcycle, holy smokes, that's a lot of tiny parts. The fork was a challenge but the rest fit together well. I should have filled the back of each saddlebag with putty; I had to put the roll on the rear rack to hide the open-back...

    Staghound

Thanks Randy. I started on the figures for this dio. I'm using a Triumph motorcycle and one of the figures in the Bronco kit along with a slightly modified Miniart British tanker as the Manitoba Dragoon. Matt, you'll be happy to hear that the Bronco kit comes with Royal Winnipeg uniform decals...

    Terry's "TANK DRAGGIN" "IS FINISHED"

That's awesome Terry. And all in one month. The detail you added is epic.

Sherman Mk III Initial, Direct vision

That looks awesome Steven. What made you go with yellow on the lower hull and running gear? I have no idea whether it's historically accurate or not, I'm just curious. Ted

    Staghound

Thanks James, Ken and Matt. Much appreciated. I believe the plates on either side of the wireless set are for shells but I'm not sure. I sprayed this Staghound with Tamiya Olive Drab/Dark Yellow over white primer and black pre-shading. Lots of stowage and weathering to go.

    Ted's Panther

Here's the finished tank. I brush-painted the camo with Vallejo paints. Weathered with oils and pigments. I couldn't find the skirts until after I'd finished weathering, then, just as I was throwing out the instructions I found them taped to the box where I'd airbrushed them. I took a photo of...

I'm amazed at what you've done in a month. I use serving dishes as bases too, where'd you find that one?

Congratulations Mel! The truck looks realistic. Have to admire someone who paints a 1/72 scale figure to go along with their first model. Ted

Good thinking Spanner, I'll check my friends' stashes and see if I can make a deal.
