    The MFH Rescue Centre

That's very true, everything about an MFH model is completely different. They bear very little relation to something like a Tamiya.

    Colours or colors :-)

Well i am always learning. Following Google advice i left the petrol tank in 99% rubbing alcohol isopropanol for 15 hours and while it did soften the paint as soon as the thinners evaporated of the surface the paint set rock hard again. This is the problem with AI, it picks up on a solution and...

    Colours or colors :-)

"Study participants who were 'morning larks' and are at their best during daylight were more likely to see the dress as white and gold" This is what i see with a blue tint on the white, i dont think i have a colour blindness but its possible. I was tested years ago as part of my electronics...

    Colours or colors :-)

I am seeing Gold and a blue/white dress. Its is like the bike ,light particular as i have been looking at other bikes and other pictures of the same bike and it could be many colours. Thanks to Rich for his experiments. I am on a similar track experimenting and i think, although i haven't tried...

    Colours or colors :-)

You are right Bob, its odd , its not colour blindness but its really hard to compare a colour or identify some colours like those engine cases.

    Colours or colors :-)

Something i have never been good at is seeing a colour and being able to break it down to its components. This petrol tank is supposedly silver but this colour looks spot on to me and its not really silver. Lets face it paint manufacturers idea of silver is usually a bit odd as they try and...

    picture request

    Italeri Manx Norton 1/9 FINISHED

Yea the 30 was a 350cc and the 40 a 500cc They did a 250cc as well and all used a very similar engine but the big difference is in the cam drive shaft, on some engines it exposed and on others its inside the barrel and head fins. The one inside the fins seems much later than the 1951 date of...

    Italeri Manx Norton 1/9 FINISHED

Well its not perfect but its 100x better than the OTB offering. I have learned a lot doing this one and the rear should be easier but then its a different pattern altogether so lets see. looking ahead the engine looks really odd. the problem is Manx Norton's were made from 1947 - 1963 and...

    Italeri Manx Norton 1/9 FINISHED

Well i am 20 spokes in with 20 to go on the front wheel Its proving quite hard to do compared with previous wheel builds because i used the position of the original plastic spokes to drill the holes for the new spokes but now i find the plastic spokes were not correct in position as well as...

    Italeri Manx Norton 1/9 FINISHED

Anyway, back to the Norton I have cut the hubs out, always a point of no return, you either succeed with your new wheels or scrap the kit. These are the hubs after 6 hours in bleach and drilled, Spokes will be 0.45mm so about 12 thou nickel silver so i have drilled the 0.6mm to give me some...

    Italeri Manx Norton 1/9 FINISHED

I wanted to keep it compatible with the infocraftsman drill so the choice is limited being so small. One advantage you cant see on the pics is it can be mounted on its side so you can also drill holes round a rim for spokes for example.
