Thanks Paul, its good to know that I am not sounding to Ozzie - i do worry that I may not be easily understood over an internet connection with my accent.:) Yeah, Barney was quietly observing in the top corner and was suddenly gone. :-(

Excellent! good luck. The key is to be as subtle as possible and just try to enjoy it like its a model itself.

:soldier....Looking better with each step. In the end there is only so much you can do with poor sculpting.

No big secret or anything, I thought I had lost a wheel, so I retrieved a spare from the T-72B3M. I have since found the missing wheel. :)

Bit of slack works as well and always looks a bit more real and dynamic, especially if you are going to beat it up a bit.

Another TRIP IN AUSTRALIA -Tasmania July/ August 2025 Part 6 The End

The location was why it was chosen. It was isolated, alone, surrounded by coastlines with steep cliffs and the only way to it from Hobart was via Eaglehawk neck...a super thin causway barracaded by police with vicious hunting dogs. And to top that it was on Tasmania (an island at the bottom of...

MODERN RUSSIAN ARMOUR - T-72B1 in Ukraine April 2022 (25th Dec update)

Here we go again, another version of the T-72, this time its an early B version, the B1. The T-72B, which appeared in the mid-1980s, included a more advanced fire control system, the ability to launch anti-tank guided missiles [ATGMs] through its main gun and enhanced armor protection. The...

    9th Infantry Division Grunt Bust

So True James, I find the same thing with the Russian tanks and the Next Gen Acrylics from Ammo and AK. Ultra Matt works really well to get that 'tooth' with a nice matt surface.

I think it comes down to the detail in the sculpting. I have found that with Tamiya v Dragon etc. Especially with faces and clothing detail - it needs to be 3D but not to much.

Looks nice MP, I hear what you are saying about the sand texture...always difficult to keep after glue. The solution is real sand secured with white glue 15%/ water 85% solution. Sprinkle a little on top and in amongst the wheels if you want to go that bit further:good:
