    Race car numbers

It's five minutes work, Paddy. Glad to help just to be a small part of your great builds!

    Race car numbers

Post what you want and the sizes and I will send you some masks. Or if you have access to a vinyl cutter I can send you the dxf file for cutting and save the postage, Paddy. Letters smaller than 1/2 inch high are better done as decals.

    Hobbyboss 1/32 Spitfire Mk. 5b

Paul, all but the first Merlin Spitfires had armor plate proud of the skin over the fuel tank. On the first ones the tank was flush with the skin. According to the instructions in the Kotare Mk.1 (early) kit the armor was retrofitted starting December 1939. The code letters are on, the RB...

    Hobbyboss 1/32 Spitfire Mk. 5b

Thanks, all, for the interest. Last look at the cockpit before it gets closed up in the fuselage. The shoulder harness is now attached at its anchor point and some fine wire has been added to the left side of the instrument panel bulkhead for the tubing located there. The spade grip has had...

    Betty Bomber

Not to mention improve your attitude and preserve your sanity! I do make my own masks and enjoy doing that using Autocad and my vinyl cutter but that for me is an enjoyable task, way different than waiting for the knife to slip and ruin a canopy or other aggravations that ensue with doing it...

    Hasegawa 1/72 F-106A

There will be no TF-102. Too ugly and OMG those vortex generators all over the canopy! Yikes! I have the Trumpeter F-106B on order. Now there's an idea, a 106 in TBird livery...an A, I think.

    Hasegawa 1/72 F-106A

So after a 30 year rest this one is ready for the display case. I did indeed start it 30 years ago, but as I was taking it over to a friend's house to show it to him I dropped it and chpped the top rear corner off of the fin and got depressed. I guess sometimes it just takes awhile to get the...

    Italeri Alfa Romeo roadster 8c 2300 1/12

Those wheels are very much the real thing! But do they run true? Are they properly tuned?

    Der Rote Kampfflieger

Usually out about the interplane struts and at the tail wheel, Bob. But it sure seems like photographers of the day were not interested in photographing tied down airplanes,

    Hobbyboss 1/32 Spitfire Mk. 5b

Paddy, it is a model for the fellow who owns the Spitfire I am modeling and I am following the photos they sent. Many warbirds are licensed in the experimental category in the US and must have a placard to that effect in view of the pilot, and passengers, if there are any.

    Hobbyboss 1/32 Spitfire Mk. 5b

Finally got the HGW seat belts. I think I like them in 1/32 but I am not sure my fat fingers will be happy in smaller scales. I did leave the PE parts on the fret while I threaded the textile parts through. I like to check the fit of the major components before adding the internal parts, helps...

Uschi Van Der Rosten products. I cain't recommend doing business with them.

I have the Uschi fine and super fine. The super fine is so fine it is invisible in photos of 1/72 scale models. The fine is also hard to see but is workable for 1/72 and 1/48. What I like about it is that it will stay straight with almost no tension, much better than the railroad line stuff.

You got me all confused, Chris. for 1/48 scale I would think .0015 would be about right. What Denier is that? 300?
