Well now, THAT is thought provoking! 120' X 24' beam. Hmm..... 2.057 inches length overall...... Hmm. .0411 inch beam. Hmm. Smaller than 1/700 SS Whitehorse by a bit. Hmm. Is there a broadside profile picture of the old Clifford Sifton, oh renter-of-space-in-head?

2025 Plastic Surgeons Meetings and Other Fun!

We did adverbs and prefixes today! A little girl sneezed and encroached upon my eyebrow. You could say I was encircled. Her laughter was endearing. SEE?! Happy now?

Mark and Donna welcome USS Cobia back to her Manitowoc berth. Her dock evolution was executed in a very efficient fashion. Yesterday at school, I gave Mr. Farrell, the science teacher my bit of sea glass. His lesson was about erosion, deposition and sediment transfer. Having a bit of...

1/350 US Coast Guard Island class 110' Cutter. TLAR Models #425

Following a couple of palate-cleansing projects and lots of resin model favors, the 1/350 110-foot WPB waterline Master progresses without much fuss. I hope to get her to mold before Thanksgiving. :oldguy::salute:

Whitehorse only had the one smokestack, I wonder which boat this one is? It amazes me that these men piloted their stout, little boats up such narrow rapids.

    Hello

Welcome aboard, Babayaga! Are you the Molly Hatchet or KC and the Sunshine Band sort of Boogey Man?

Another TRIP IN AUSTRALIA -Tasmania July/ August 2025 Part 4

Nah. There's vendor in Japan (Fairy Kikaku?) that casts in blue resin. He divides his ships into sections vertically like that. Hulls can be filled and sanded, but the wood decking seam is impossible! Nothing is more irritating than that! His models are unbuildable. I build all my own...

Is AI a good thing :-)

I know what kind of "sausages" he releases. Sign on the wall of the Loo; "Ever see a Muslim float? Stand up and look behind you."

I am not a fan. Bitcoin or AI either one. I don't sell virtual inventory, I am not interested in virtual money. My bills and groceries actually exist in real time. Not only do we have to wonder if a woman is a man or not these days, but now pictures cannot be trusted to be authentic.

This new gizmo would seem to have little use for me and the models I like to make. We went to the memorial service for George's Clarlee last Saturday in Ankeny. Nate, Sara and Tucker and Trennis Stevens attended as well. It was bitter-sweet to see George and his people but for a sad...

The Spirit of Tasmania I Ferry is 10.93 inches length overall in 1/700 scale. Just a touch too long for my pressure pot max. Bugger all! I shamelessly plugged https://www.threedbattleart.com/home on X a minute ago.

9 Oktober, 2025 Meeting post: We begin this night's festivities by having a nice supper and visit with George Stevens at the Ankeny Tasty Tacos location. He's back from the High Country for his beloved Clarlee's celebration of Life this Saturday. We had a fine visit, and George attempted 2...

Finished resin "Model Favors". Larry is getting twice as many parts as he asked for. His mold took drops of LPP. Nate thinks 80-some 1/72 fighter pilots may tide him over for a while. Each 8 figure mold used about 10ml of material. Everything that needed shipped, has been. Thanks for...

Thanks for posting pictures! My fave's (besides your builds) are the Bug Half-track, The Malta Tilly and the Haunted Tank, although, without the flag of the Army of Northern Virginia, it just ain't quite right. Ghostly J.E.B. Stuart is pretty cool!

Controlling the Noise During Sukkot (Jewish Holidays)

I have a 2-foot section of 1-inch aqua-pex that I blow through to make an unearthly. loud sound. Our new neighbor said her heard an animal call he wasn't familiar with one night. Making my most thoughtful face, I sagely advised him "It was probably a Bearcat or a Buzzhog. When you hear that...
