Very cool, Paddy. Wasn't manual focusing and exposure invented just for this?

Woodland Davis Aeromodelers Wings of Victory

Not this one, it has an un-scale powered gear. Hard to get your hand in there when it's flying. But I guess Rich could wobble it a bit on purpose, I'll take it up with him.

Woodland Davis Aeromodelers Wings of Victory

Paddy, I usually want more blur than that but now that I have done some that way I do like it, Getting the right blade blur on helicopters is much more difficult because the shutter speed being slow makes camera movement a real issue.

    Tamiya 1/48 P-47D-5

Thanks, everyone. It was a fun project where I tried some new things without any real disasters. Well, maybe the instrument panel decal qualifies in that area, so don't look there. And thank you, Saul, for your generosity, I will pay it forward.

    Tamiya 1/48 P-47D-5

I still see one decal trying to silver on the left main gear lower door but the finished pictures are taken. The last two photos are with a Hasegawa D-25, the Pro Modeler P-47N, and an XP-72 from a Koster Monogram conversion.

    Tamiya 1/48 P-47D-5

Thanks, everyone, it is a great kit. Too late for this one, Saul, but I have many more P-47's in the stash. I wanted to do Mahurin's airplane as I recently read his bio. Decals finished up today. Almost as many stencils as a jet fighter and nearly invisible on the OD. Tamiya Extra Thin...

    No. 112 Squadron

Copy the decal and make masks with the vinyl cutter you should have bought already, Paul. Or post a copy here and I'll do it for you. Maybe like this one. The curves around the front of the nose will be fun.
