Pup, I'm 99% sure that photo is of a two color early war scheme, even though the blue is pretty dark for a early blue grey. Perhaps the blue grey has been over sprayed but it doesn't look like dark sea blue or the non specular dark blue. The oil canning is a result of the way the Corsair was...

Here's the finished pictures with some fun in-flight shots. Cloned out a brass tube that fit in the tailpipe. No prop to spin on this one, more's the pity.

I think I'm done with the masking and painting, now it's just down to the decals. The gun ports were not present of the RF-86's, but to fool the enemy they were painted on. I puzzled for a while on how to do that, and then decided to use a pencil. I cut masks for the outlines and ran a pencil...
