    A modeler’s quandary...

With regards to the poll at the top of this topic. I think it be good to have a third choic Both as for some people that's what they aim for with a model. Cheers

    A modeler’s quandary...

For me it depends on the subject and what I want the model to be/do. Sometimes I like to put a model on a base with a bit of scenery and a standing figure to give a sense of size to the model. I prefer to build small bases with scenery for my figures. However due to the number of figures I...

That t-72 looks FANTASTIC! It's hard to believe it's only 1/72 scale and not 1/35 scale. Cheers

    Latest Acquisitions Revisited!

Latest Acquisitions WOW! More and more it's becoming a wealthy person's hobby. Sometimes I wonder how much it cost someone to build a finished model when you include their cost of research material. WAY out of my price range. WOW! Cheers

    Movie FURY tank?

The Italeri FURY tank is a LEMON! I went and got the Italeri M4A2 tank kit for the engine deck and rear hull panel and exhaust system to put on my FURY tank. Guess what? The M4A2 kit has the WRONG rear hull panel and exhaust for an M4A2 tank. I think I'll just build a facsimile exhaust system...

    Movie FURY tank?

Just found a review of the Italeri M4A2 kit and it has an upper hull of the M4A3 which you have to cut in order to install the proper M4A2 engine deck that's included in the M4A2 kit. Unfortunately the rear hull plate and exhaust are not the right ones for an M4A2. :<( Then again, to build the...

    Movie FURY tank?

Took another look at some scenes from the movie and got on decent screen capture of the top of the rear deck. Looks like an A2 deck to me too. There's so much conflicting info out there on the web. I'm guessing that the rear hull plate is also an A2 one not the A3 as in t he kit. I looked at...

    Movie FURY tank?

Thanks. I'll go to the not so local hobby shop tomorrow and buy the Italeri M4A2 kit but ONLY if they allow me to look inside and make sure Italeri used the right upper hull and rear lower hull plate. I'd hate to spend $30.00+ for the kit and then find that it has the wrong parts still. Cheers

    Movie FURY tank?

Hi there people. I have the Italeri M4A3E8 Sherman FURY kit. I have a few questions about it before I asrmblethe upper hull or the running gear. #1. I've heard that the tank that was used for FURY was actually an M4A2 not an A3. Is that true. If so, is the Italeiri M4A2 kit any good as a...

    Latest Acquisitions Revisited!

Latest Acquisitions I find these what if or 1946 and/or 1947 aircraft interesting. But that's because the Germans had such a dire shortage of fuel in 1945. How would they have flown these things? I guess the "What if?" scenarios rely on the Germans either immensely ramping up synthetic fuel...

All Righty ... What's on the bench today?

You're quite welcome. I found out the hard way that those too tight tracks will break after sitting for a while. I had that happen to one or two models. I have 2 more under construction and 2 more kits still waiting to be started. I'm building one as mortar carrier I saw at a Canadian Armoury...

All Righty ... What's on the bench today?

Looking great there. If that's the Tamiya kit be aware that the tracks will be really tight and will break after sitting for a while. I leave a gap on my Tamiya Universal Carrier models and hide the gap under the forward track shield. Chers
