Home made round base for painting

Neat idea. I will have to see if I can get a stand from my daughter who may still have one around. Dave

    Holder for the instruction sheet

Neat idea to use an older clipboard that has out lived its usefulness where you had it. I need to try it myself. Dave

    32 Ford Jalopy racer

Kevin: Nice job on that racer, but where is the weathering and "battle" (Race) damage? That is nice for a start of the season build, but not for a seasoned veteran. Dave

    Clear Coat Help

Just a suggestion, When you finish painting, put a clean cover over the model. I live down in Wellsville N.Y. and when I painted my kits, I would put something over the model. As long as there is no dust in the box or the storage box you use, you should be good to go. Dave

Maddog Manufacturing 2014 Armor Production Line

Duke, you are just a modeling machine. I like how the STuH is coming along, but that train engine is something in itself. They are both fantastic, and to think, they are both 1/72 scale. I'm hoping to be back modeling at the end of the month, as I get the Cataract in the left eye removed on...

Duke, those are some really nice looking pieces. You have done a nice job getting them finished for the holiday. Merry Christmas to you and yours, and a Happy New Year as well my friend. Dave

    The Duke Finishes Four More....

Great job on all 4 of those vehicles Duke. Your work never ceases to amaze me, and all in 1/72-76 scale. I'm hoping to be back in the saddle again soon. I'm getting a Cataract removed in January, and I'm hoprful that my modeling will come back to me. Dave

    Edmunds Modified

That is one neat looking Supermod. I like how everything worked out and the execution of the car. That is one that maybe I should look at getting, but will wait till I get the stash whittled down a bit. Dave

    .......'49 MERCURY SEDAN PICK UP.......

Dude: That is one totally awesome looking Rat Rod style Pick-'m-up. Those colors really set that thing off. You did a wonderful job on that one. Dave

    Lindberg models any good?

I stand corrected. The Lindberg '64 Dodges and Plymouths are not ex-IMC kits. They are almost repops of Johan kits. All in all, they are still excellent kits. Dave

    Lindberg models any good?

The only Lindberg kits I wouldn't touch were their 1/25 scale Ex-Pyro offerings, ie: the Cord, Auburn, and the '48 Lincoln. These have multi piece bodies and are not real fun to build. In my opinion, the only one of them that might be savable would be tha Lincoln, the rest are JUNK. The other...

Maddog Armor Manufacturing 2013 Production Line

Yo dude, you're just a building machine. Are those all in 1/72?!!!!!That Horse and limber are just amazing. I really like all the staff cars and trucks that you have going. Where did you manage to find them all??? That might make a real interesting diorama. Dave

    The Duke's Newest Magnum Opus

Thats too bad that you didn't place with anything at the Nats. You say the '15 show will be in Columbus, Ohio. I'd like to try for Hampton next year but Columbus in '15 may be seriously workable. About how much $$$ would one expect to shell out for a show like that. I could possibly save...

    MEAN GREEN MACHINE(S)

Give her a hardy congrats and a serious High TEN for that accomplishment. Was that her first show, or have you been to more than this one? Dave

    The Duke's Newest Magnum Opus

Well Mark, the IPMS Nats are now history. How did you and that monsterpiece do at the show. Did you take anything else with you and did you win anything with them at all? I gotta know, because I am concerned. Let me know ASAP, please. Dave

    MEAN GREEN MACHINE(S)

Love both of those Green machines. I think Victoria did a fantastic job on the Green '65 Pickup. I like the slight custom work added to the body. Hope you both do well at the Nationals. Hope to see them in the Journal in December with the contest issue. Dave

    The Duke's Newest Magnum Opus

Now that you are at the Nationals, I hope you have done well. You should do an article for the IPMS journal, They would have a great time since this is the first of the 50th anniversary of the society and this would be the capper of the year. Good job my friend. Dave

    The Duke's Newest Magnum Opus

Mark, that was definitely worth the wait. Wouldn't it have been easier to prime that monster with spray can, and then airbrush the main color coats? I'll bet that beast dwarfs everything else in the collection.Nice job. Dave
