Tamiya 1/48 He-219 baby steps before the big one.

Well with the decalling done, and landing gear the next step is all the doo-dads. I am not satisfied with the masking of the canopy. Antennas, exhausts, and some paint touch up and Ill call it done.

Tamiya 1/48 He-219 baby steps before the big one.

I did most of the assembly, finished the decals and tried some Ammo water based washes. They work well, just don't paint the plane as i did with then or you may come out with dome darker spots that you done want.I'll have to go back and do some spot touch ups.

Tamiya 1/48 He-219 baby steps before the big one.

This is the first campaign for me in quite a while. Tamiya's 48 scale 219. This is not a totally issue free kit but nothing that can not be overcome. Small annoying fit issues in the nacelles and around the hatch for the schragemisik guns and one gap under the wind screen. I did not have the...

The monkey lines are tied to the boom, and are rolled up in a coil with a piece of belfast and either left to the elements or secured in a bag and left attached to the boom/davit when secured.

I once heard that if it has wings, wheels or boobs it's gonna give you problems. It's a shame that they wont allow goats here.

It's an OK kit but I don't see $100 in it. The clear parts a wavy, and before you install the top and rear turrets you have to paint both sides then bring everything together. However, I don't see why it wouldn't be a fine kit.

    E-Type jag, Scale = big.

It has been 17 years since I had my by pass surgery. I have been watching your builds for that long. They never fail to impress, Paddy, no matter what or how you work through things. You are one of those top shelf modeler type of guys.

    He-219

No pics yet but I have two. one in 32 and the Tamiya one in 48. I'll get pics up as soon as I can get some things cleared up around here. I have been busy with a persnickety yard tractor. Blade brake, PTO cable and deck leveling. It take me a couple of days to get up off of the ground when doing...
