    Oh happy days!

It's a fun story. In 2010 Brandon Lowe (Free Time Hobbies) bought Pacific Front Hobbies from Bill Gruner in Colorado. Bill was a one-man band with amazing inventory and speedy service that catered to model ship builders. Freetime Hobbies was in Blue Ridge, GA in a road-side store front, the...

Kevin is making headway on his Academy 1/600 RMS Titanic kit. Quite Titanical so far, don't you agree? We fired up the Cricut last night. Teresa cuts them and I weed them. The heart decal for little Jerod's racing machine and club decals for Aimee & Joe. It isn't enough to cut the dogsnot...

    1/720 USS Enterprise

The kit is engineered to make the lower hull removeable. You can display it on the stand and then separate the lower hull when you want to play air-strike with the waterline model. It makes bottom painting easy!

Please. I am the King of boring people to death. I make model ships. I'm with Pup. I enjoy watching your biplane technique. I especially enjoy the off-the-beaten-path model kit. Hey, here in the US we don't much sniff glue anymore. Cleaning the airbrush with lacquer thinner. There's...

802 Squadron's "FW-200 Assassin" FAA Martlet I's posed on the deck of Captain MacKendrick's carrier. Winkle's airplane is the "R" coded one. An effort was made to get one good "White Ensign" Royal Navy flag for Audacity. Microscale decal film to the rescue! Never mind the masts for...

Thanks Bob! Multiply a fast sneeze velocity of 100 mph, with a blast radius of 5 feet, and one might have quite the scale gale, as it were. Back-Aft models decals provided the letters for 802 Squadron ID's. These 6 Martlets are A, F, K, P, Q, and Winkle's R serial mount. This picture was...

Impressive per usual! What does the box with the chain sprocket in the middle do on a 100-year-old motorbike?

I found the 35 year old decals I wanted for Audacity's 1/700 scale Martlets. Applying the British decals can be quite tedious, indeed.

HMS Audacity. From gaming miniature to 1/700 waterline model.

Choosing the appropriate green for camo is a big deal to a Plastic Surgeon. A bit of 802 Squadron Mart-Let painting has occurred, with a tiny (?!) bit more painting to go, (hem) of course. One might be non-plussed, as it were, of one asked about which paints were utilized. Grossmann, heiBe Ich...

802 Squadron, if I understand it correctly, left the ship in flights of 2. A maximum of 8 Martlet 1's were carried. Anti-Submarine Patrol and Convoy Protection were the primary missions. A great deal of shuttling aircraft about on the deck made for a busy crew.
