Great job Tony, I would paint very fine black line around the edges, i.e. where the boots meet the legs, were the arms meet the shirts etc, just to differentiate the parts better. Very well done sir!

    "Painting with Giovanni: fleshtones"

Well, I'm impressed by the progress!!! As for the Dak colours, if you want to use acrylics go with VAllejo or Andrea (these are the one I use). Slowly buy the colours you need but I suggest you to buy a colour wheel more than 100's of bottles, you'll be amazed on how many shgades you can make...

I'm finishing another project at the moment, but I had the time to build and undercoat the figure. Lately I use black, this is because, helps with the parts where the parts where I can't reach with my brush. Soon I'll start with the face. Ciao Giovanni

    My Masterbox 1/35th DAK Figures

I should say this is impressive!! I would ass a little more higlihghts, but has to be of your taste one trick that could help is to apply a tiny amoint of blue or green (or whatever colour you like) in the middle of the pupils. It will make a lot of difference. Ciao Giovanni

    "Painting with Giovanni: fleshtones"

Hi Tony, I agree on the contrast, if you don't like it, don't go there, but at least make sure you can differentiate the various volumes and parts of the figure. Keep in mind that forehead, nose, cheeks and chin are the more exposed areas to the light. Anyway, I'm impressed, I don't know how...

    "Painting with Giovanni: fleshtones"

Hi Tony, I would say this is more than enough! I've made a few tweaks to your work, and added the areas where you should add a lighter colour: The upper eyelid the top edge of the lower eyelid top and tip of the nose top of the chin upper part of the cheek bones and above the mouth (not sure...

    "Painting with Giovanni: fleshtones"

Hi Tony, He surface was rough, because I may have used a bad primer, but moreover because when you zoom so much a 1/35 you can see every single dust particles. As for the shadows, these are what in the tank builder field is called preshadows, and is done in acrylics. You use preshadows mostly...
