well, I'm calling the tires done. Went back over them with some more black/grey and I like them the way they are. Now I'll finish the wheels and one more piece of the puzzle will be done. On a side note, as slow as I've been lately, it will be very slow for a week or so. Tomorrow morning at...

New post ! I was trying to figure out what to do my gun barrels. Paint is the obvious was, but not real enough. So I thought to my self, Self, what makes barrels real looking ? Blueing, it does ! So thats what I did. Used blueing liquid on my brass barrels. And it works ! I'm very excited about...

YEA, the camera is charged ! Small update. The panels in front of turbo are going on. Very good fit ( for a change !) I have left them off because I could not figure how to install then and add turbos later after painting. I trimmed the front "prongs" on turbo so now it will slip in easily. One...

One more pic. Got lucky with the camera ! Outer wings, flaps and ailerons installed. Also the dive flaps. These are kit PE, rather thick but ok. And the lower flaps on the engines are in. Trying to get the radiator doors on today. Wish me luck ! More to follow later.............Harv

    1/32 P-38M "M" for madness

OK, managed to squeeze a couple of pics out of my camera. The first is just an overall shot. I actually have gotten a bunch of things done, although it may not look like it. The outer wings are on and so are the flaps, still need to add ailerons and they will be tweaked a small amount for a...

    1/32 P-38M "M" for madness

Small update Only one pic, my camera battery is dead and waiting on a USB cord to charge it. Right outer wing. Bit of a small gap. Its already fixed with some evergreen strip. Also the chin faring for radar pod, I didn't like it. The more I looked , the more crooked it looked. Ripped it off and...

This is how I took care of the canon mount. Just a piece of card cut to fit. Hole was drilled for rear of barrel to fit. The rest fit well enough that nothing was needed. Note more weight in nose. This after the nose was glued on, and cleaned up a bit And to help motivate myself, here is...

This is the aircraft I am modeling. Several observations and questions. First, I noticed the nose dose not have panels and rivets, unlike the kit, so most of mine will be sanded off ( most are already) also we have had several debates here on wheel well co;or. Knowing there is a bad color...
