Has anyone else seen this ? Went today with my wife Bev, and I'll tell you, I was highly impressed with it.It is a prequel to Wizard of OZ. it tells how the wizard came to be. It did start on the slow side, but quickly pics up. It perfectly ties in the two movies, and wow. If you can, go see it...

Painting test has begun ! Actually had some time to fire up the air brush. First pi is, TOP LEFT: black pre shade, TOP RIGHT is dark blue pre-shade. BOTTOM RIGHT is just semi gloss black. So far , I like the looks of the all semi gloss. But after a few more added colors, we;ll see. I'll explain...

Small update: This "little" job burned up almost 2.5 hrs. this morning. Masking small stuff, especially with glasses that are no longer in focus because of the surgery . But its done and I can start on masking off the pit. The last pic is just an over view of all the tape !. Thanks for looking...

Had to search all over to find my weapon of choice , but did find it So now starts the stuffing. Little pieces will go into smaller openings. Still need to figure out a plan for the pits. Thanks for tagging along all......Harv :P

Yes it is. I have a LONE STAR resin pit for it and Yellow Wings decal. Trying to save enough for the VECTOR engine and cowling set

Its been a fun ride so far, at least most of the time. But, yes, I'll be glad when its done, so I can move on to a new adventure. I think I'll build my F4B-4. Much simpler...........Harv

Chuck and Christian, thanks for stopping by ! I used good ol' Testers rattle can gloss black. Not exactly sure about the rest. The is a guy on LSP that just painted a 110 night fighter with black greenish blue and some other colors and it turned out awesome. I'm trying to find out how he did it...

One more thing. Forgot to post awhile back. The nose radar is done. I used gloss black with dry transfers, then clear gloss coat (2).............Harv

Another small update. I have been putting this off for too long. Broke the nose gear "fork" links some time ago, and agonized over fixing it. Bought some .005 evergreen rod, and punched out a couple of small disc out of thin sheet and glued together. I'm not real happy with it, but it will do...

I'm just the opposite, my up close seems to be better. Actually better all around. I'm going to try and get the wheel hubs done, hopefully by latter today...........Harv
