Coming Soon: Trumpeter M983 Hemtt w/ Patriot

Yea, looks like it's going to have a lot of little fiddly parts. Also has a lot more PE than I'm used to seeing out of the box.

Coming Soon: Trumpeter M983 Hemtt w/ Patriot

Saw this, this morning while browsing the Trumpeter Facebook page. 1/35 M983 Hemtt w/ Patriot Missile system. Just listed as coming soon. Seeing this makes me wonder if Trumpeter is going to get in on the HEMTT. There are several different variants I can think of right off the...

    1/32 Eurocopter EU-135

Bit of an update. Things are progressing slowly. As I expected, overall fit was mediocre, as best, and horrible at worst. It's taken quite a bit of putty to smooth things out, and a lot of places still arent great, but better than they were, so I think I'm getting close to the end of cleaning...

    New Trumpeter Armour

Impressive! I'm beginning to have a thing for all these different ballistic missile launchers that are coming out. I've got the Chinese launcher Trumpeter put out several years ago, and really liking the look of the newer kits that are coming out.

All Righty ... What's on the bench today?

Since today is my b-day, spent the day relaxing, and trying to make progress on my turd helicopter model. Making progress but man I'm getting tired of sanding out all the putty it's taking to clean this thing up.

    Latest Acquisitions Revisited!

Latest Acquisitions I got the SB email today talking about the clearance. I didn't find anything that I'm needing for a current project, so I don't have to worry about the virus. Also helps that I don't have the money to get anything anyway, haha.

    1/32 Eurocopter EU-135

That was actually the very first thing I did after the glue set. It fit pretty much like it had when test fitting the two halves. Trying to decide when to start working on the windscreen. Right now the best method I've got for cutting the windscreen is w/ a razor saw. I'm thinking about holding...

    1/32 Eurocopter EU-135

Considering where this turd was 24 hours ago, I didn't expect it to look like this any time soon, but after Bob's suggestion on how to deal w/ the windscreen, I decided to push on with the build, and glued the fuselage together and started working on cleaning up the seams. Just set it in the...

    1/32 Eurocopter EU-135

Hmm, that thought never occurred to me. I think I really like that idea vs trying to make the fuselage fit the windscreen. Thanks a ton for that suggestion Bob!

    1/32 Eurocopter EU-135

I thought about making a mold for the canopy, I've got some .015" clear styrene sheet, but I'm not 100% sure doing that would work, so I think what I'm going to do is shim the 2 halves of the fuselage apart at the nose, to make it fit the windscreen, and then keep it the same at the rear...

    Ancient MPC Luke's Snowspeeder

    1/32 Eurocopter EU-135

I'm about to the limit on this build. I'm having to fight the urge to just throw every last bit in the trash and walk away from it. I fought for several days to get the interior to fit inside the fuselage. After a lot of sanding, cutting & grinding, I finally got the fuselage halves to close up...

LF: Paragon Designs 1/48 S-3 Wing & Tail Fold

Yea, I already plan on getting the OIF update, and if I can't get the Paragon set, I'll get their wingfold. Looking at getting the True Details cockpit, since its pretty much the same, about about 1/3 the cost. Thinking about the refueling set as well, but haven't decided there. I'm looking for...
