Gorgeous build, ive always wanted to try one. I need more info on how you laid and stained the deck. I have to replace a plastic one with wood and i could use some guidance!

Changing of the Guard at MMD/Squadron

I do miss the days of my youth, receiving their monthly 'supplements' and trying to figure out a way to get mom and dad to buy a new project for me.

Anyone up for a big project?

And my wife thought the Tamiya kit was expensive. I get that this one has combat history, but there are airworthy examples for (relatively) not much more. Fake edit - Imagine the postage.

    YOU WANT DETAILING......WELL WATCH THIS

That's awesome. I can barely draw stick figures and my writing is hardly legible. Some guys have all the luck.

    F4U-1A * * F I N I S H E D * * Great looking bird. I always come back to building this kit when I need a serene modelling break. I have too many of them now. (said no one ever.)

Questions that you may be asked.

It's always "Why isn't the vent [bathroom vent style fan] on?"

1/72 Revell Flower Class Corvette H.M.C.S. Galt

Oh I understand that, I just thought you said you knew that there were a lot of sets out for this kit and I was hoping you or someone reading this thread could point me in the right direction.

Hamilton Lancaster engine repair to cost $180,000

I thought this might be of interest to some of you. I live just down the street from the Canadian Lancaster which has just completed its UK Tour. As some of you know, it had to have one of its Packard built Merlins swapped for a BBMF Rolls Royce early on. Long story short, the Museum, which...

    hello

Welcome Wayne As above, let's see some pics! Also SA Dave is alright - you have to watch Moonpuppy though, it's always the quiet polite ones that concern me.

1/72 Revell Flower Class Corvette H.M.C.S. Galt

The third reference listed above covers these changes, as does the second. I have both of those but lack the first reference. My Grandpa served on the HMCS Chambly and I have three of these kits to build. I also gave up for a long time after assembling the hulls. Who makes the aftermarket...

    Revell Ju 88 A1 in 1/32nd scale

A Quality Build of a Revell Ju 88 A1 Nice fix. I've never really bought into the whole 'big models need metal landing gear!' deal, I can't imagine how old a model would have to be to bow it's landing gear. I just wanted to try a set, and now I've used a set on the Mosquito and I'm not overly...

**FINISHED** Airfix 1/24 Mosquito build log

Airfix 1/24 Mosquito build log I build them simultaneously so that they're both equally buggered. If you're interested, the plans for the shelving unit is in that thread. It's an Ana White project.

    Revell Ju 88 A1 in 1/32nd scale

A Quality Build of a Revell Ju 88 A1 and I really didn't care for SAC's set - we buy these for strength, but the SAC tailwheel fork bends every time I blink. The mains are okay, but in retrospect the kit's plastic tailwheel would have been a much better part to use with the metal mains.

**FINISHED** Airfix 1/24 Mosquito build log

Airfix 1/24 Mosquito build log ^^^ Which was a big deciding factor behind me buying two Typhoons. Good thing I built that huge shelving cabinet to organize large or double builds.

**FINISHED** Airfix 1/24 Mosquito build log

Airfix 1/24 Mosquito build log I haven't forgotten about you folks - I'm filling and sanding. It's almost time to put on a tinfoil hat, I'm going a little cross eyed. Lot of work, not much to show for it. Also - if you're going to build one of these kits, another note; the flame shrouds are...
