    1/35 Emhar Mk. V Hermaphrodite

Hello there people. I want to use a couple of figures with this tank on a base to give a sense of scale and also because I really enjoy making bases. With that in mind I bought two Tamiya WW1 British figures sets. The sets are #35339 and #32409. #32409 is NOT a Tamiya item but is simply the ICM...

    1/35 Emhar Mk. V Hermaphrodite

A bit more progress. I got the rear cargo rack finished and attached to the tank hull. Ialso added to handles above the hinges on the rear hull plate. I also started modifying some Academy Tank Supplies Set II WW2 British 2 Gallon Petrol Tins to look more like WW1 ones. So far I have 6...

Interesting WW1 Mk. IV Tank Variant

Is there a Reference section hereabouts where these and other images could be posted for easy use by others? I just came across an interesting image whilst reading about the British WW1 Chinese Labour Corps. I never knew such a group existed. Anyway, in the Wikipedia article on them there was...

    1/35 Emhar Mk. V Hermaphrodite

Gee, with a Mk. V there are a lot of variants you could build. I decided to forgo the unditching rails since they are not in the kit but I did decide to improve a bit on that rear cargo rack. That cargo rack in real life could be folded up against the rear of the hull. The first thing I did...

    1/35 Emhar Mk. V Hermaphrodite

Thanks. That's Krylon Sand(?) that I used for the base coat. I like it because it drys to the touch in just 10 - 15 minutes and doesn't stink up my bachelor apartment when I bring the model back inside from wherever I painted it. Cheers

    1/35 Emhar Mk. V Hermaphrodite

Well my friends it's nearly done. Got the base paint on it today and separately painted the muffler and exhaust that goes on the roof. I'm debating about putting on the cargo rack at the rear of the body between the tracks. I found images of that rack on SUPPLY tanks (minus their armament) but...

    1/35 Emhar Mk. V Hermaphrodite

Am on the home stretch with this at last. Just need to clean up a few parts and cement them in place and it's done except for painting, weathering and putting it on a base. Here's where it's at now. Right Side with Male sponson and all remaining parts. Left side with Female sponson and...

    1/35 Emhar Mk. V Hermaphrodite

Some progress on this tank. The left side sponson will be Female and the right side sponson will be Male. I'll add the sponsons after the hull sides are attached to the main body. The main body is nearly done with the two cabins assembled and cemented to the top. Note that these Emhar 1/35...

    Latest Acquisitions Revisited!

Latest Acquisitions Got the Tamiya British WW1 Infantry set. This is NOT the Tamiya/ICM set. Cheers Addendum. Opened the box and looked at the figures and gear. WOW! Are the hands in this set ever small! They'd be great if you were using female figures and wanted different hands for them...

Hi James. Here are couple of images of the kit contents. I forgot to take an image of the track segments though. Cheers

    1/35 Emhar Mk. V Hermaphrodite

They're a pretty basic simple build for their 1/35 scale tanks. They do NOT have any running gear wheels save for the drive sprockets and Idler wheels. The tracks are multi-lengths that can be glued together with liquid styrene cement. When built the tank looks the part though. Here's an image...

The War To End All Wars, 100th Anniversary

That's why I'm glad I have the 1/35 scale Emhar Mk. V Hermaphrodite kit. It's a pretty simple kit to build because it doesn't have all the small wheels at the bottom of the track run but when built it still looks good. Seems t hat Emhar decided if you don't see it you don't need it. Cheers

The War To End All Wars, 100th Anniversary

My Grandfather on my mother's side fought in many of the bloodiest battles of WW1. I've been thinking that this November 11 will mark the 100th anniversary of the end of that conflict. I have a 1/35 scale Emhar Mk. V Hermaphrodite kit that I might build as a remembrance to my grandfather...

All Righty ... What's on the bench today?

Tried removing the sponson for the 6-pounder gun and machine gun from my 1/35 scale Emhar Mk. IV MAle tank. That's because the machine gun and retaining ring came off and both are now somewhere inside the tank. I was unable to get the sponson off so I've decided to remove a bit of the bottom of...

All Righty ... What's on the bench today?

Some medicines react a lot more strongly if the person is in direct sunlight. Quote from https://www.medicinenet.com/sun-sensitive_drugs_photosensitivity_to_drugs/article.htm "Sun-sensitizing drugs (photosensitivity) definition and facts Sun-sensitive or photosensitive drugs are drugs...

Good glue 2 Attach 1/35 EMHAR WW1 tank tracks?

I have 4 of the 1/35 scale Emhar tanks and three of them are built. I can not remember what I used to glue the track segments together and to the hull. Now two segments of the tracks on my Mk.IV Female tank have come off. What do you folks use to attach Emhar tracks to each section and to the...
